Horses have always been a passion of mine. I am now trying to incorporate my passion with education, so that I can work with horses and their owners.
As a Certified Equine Massage Therapist I can offer an alternative therapy to horse owners. I have been practicing equine massage therapy now for four years. I have treated horses with many different issues and have seen the amazing results that equine massage therapy can provide. I am also trained in Hydrotherapy, Osteology and Gait Analysis. Gait analysis is a very useful tool in providing a starting point for massage treatment.
I currently own a 7 year old gelding and a 2 1/2 year old Oldenburg gelding. I am also the owner of a 30+ year old pony. I have an understanding of the young and growing horse as well as the geriatric equine.
I feel continuing education is necessary if I wish to remain current with all the changes in equine medical research. I am completing the courses necessary to obtain my certificate in Equine Science through the University of Guelph as well as attending symposiums and seminars on issues related to equine health and nutrition.
